                                                               * * * * HERITAGE DAY * * * *
                                                    NEXT SATURDAY – SEPTEMBER 24, 2011

Herb led discussion about the TCERT booth at Heritage Day. Where do we want to be?? It was suggested we ask to be placed on the north side of the parsonage, south of the sidewalk. This positioning should give good exposure. Neva will check with Reverend Marsh for an OK to be on parsonage property. We will have the booth display as used at Garfield. Steve will bring the trailer for use of its contents but will not be open for viewing.

Herb has obtained literature from the weather bureau and we will also use flyers and brochures we have on hand.

Teresa displayed and the group discussed the “tornado in a bottle” which will be a children’s activity that day.

• TCERT members should arrive at 8:30am to set up.
• Wear your CERT shirt
• Bring a lawn chair if you prefer not standing up all day
• You’ll not be in the booth the entire time-we’ll be giving each other plenty of breaks.

The October exercise at Tecumseh Park was discussed. Classes will be held Saturday morning with problem solving exercises in the afternoon. Several disaster scenes will be set up in the community. Further plans will be made at a meeting later.

Respectfully submitted,
Nancy Rush
