Tecumseh Community Emergency Response Team Tecumseh United Methodist Church October 22, 2011 The Tecumseh CERT meeting came to order at 9:00am. Those present were Herb Whitlow, Brad and Teresa Hudson, Willa Norwood, Nancy Rush, Steve Vogel, Dave Sterbenz, Jan Kieffer, Dusty Nichols, Neva Martin. Herb asked anyone who had expenses from the encampment to get them to him for reimbursement. The week end of the encampment was discussed. Areas of improvement were pointed out.     • A more accurate count for meals is needed.     • Segregate work stations away from distractions.     • System of planning to meet immediate needs, making plans for the next day, the next few hours.     • Make use of runners and a security person to determine immediate needs and determine those that         can be handled later.     • Remember to disconnect – don’t let personal feeling enter into the handling a situation. The number of hours spent on planning and executing the week end encampment will be tallied and reported back. Dave stressed the importance of Tecumseh CERT developing a calling list beginning with the area captains. Volunteers are needed for the Zombie Preparedness event and the Haunted Trail. Steve is making plans for a Shelter Training session. The All County meeting will be November 17. Dave thanked the Tecumseh CERT group for hosting the encampment and providing meals.
