Tecumseh Community Emergency Response Team Tecumseh United Methodist Church August 21, 2010 The Tecumseh CERT meeting came to order at 9:00am. Those attending were Herb Whitlow, Neva Martin, Dan and Pat Krug, Willa Norwood, David Brink, Cindy Whitsell, Larry McCammon, Nancy Rush, Steve Vogel, Dave Sterbenz, Steve Christenberry. Steve passed copies of a CERT Volunteer Interest Survey. Each member present completed the survey and returned those to him. He is planning to attend a Rose Hill meeting with the same survey. Steve will meet back with our group to share results. Dave told of the American Red Cross Ride For The Red. It is a motorcycle ride/fund raiser for the Red Cross. It will begin at Heartland Park on September 11. Volunteers are needed for all areas of the day’s activities. Those present agreed to order 20 bucket lids to go on five gallon buckets. These will be sold on Heritage Day, September 25. Buckets should be readily available locally. David Brink had checked on some prices. Steve suggested a source he had for the same items and will get back with Herb on prices. There will be a Disaster Response Training event held in Fayetteville in September. The cost is $265 which includes training, room, meals. The next Tecumseh CERT meeting will be September 18 at 9:00am at Tecumseh Park. Respectfully submitted, Nancy Rush
