Tecumseh Community Emergency Response Team Tecumseh United Methodist Church April. 20, 2010 The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm. Those attending were Herb Whitlow, David and Linda Brink, Willa Norwood, Neva Martin, Nancy Rush, Pat Krug, Cindy Whitsell. There will be an Emergency Management Showcase at Garfield Park on May 8, 1:00-4:00pm. There were not enough participants to hold the CPR class on April 24. Another will be conducted the second week of May. The group discussed the Pancake Feed to be held on the morning of Saturday, June 26. This will take place during the SNCO CERT Exercise held at Tecumseh Park. Willa had done extensive research regarding the prices of supplies needed that day. It was decided to serve pancakes, sausage, orange juice, coffee. Willa had priced all these items plus paper goods, etc. that will be needed. Herb will check to see if CERT has a tax exempt number. A mailing will go out to the community about the emergency exercise and the pancake breakfast. Herb will check with the water department for addresses. If Ernestine had a listing, the mailing labels could be printed here at the church. This mailing should go out the first week of June. Perhaps we should do a trifold rather than using envelopes. Herb passed the Tecumseh CERT Organization Chart. The intent is to fairly distribute responsibilities to members of the organization. The following assignments were made: TCERT Coordinator – Herb Whitlow Operations – Neva Martin Planning/Training – David and Linda Brink Resources/Logistics – Willa Norwood, Nancy Rush Finances – Larry McCammon, Jan Kieffer Administration – Cindy Whitsell, Pat Krug Those persons able to start the generator are Kirk Natalie, Larry McCammon, Herb Whitlow.
