THE TECUMSEH UNITED METHODIST CHURCH COUNCIL

The Administrative Council of Tecumseh United Methodist Church met May 3, 2009 at 7:15pm.Those present were Nelta Hennessey, chairperson, Pastor Josh Gooding, Ernestine Adams, Carolyn Edwards, Sarah Gooding, Rita Halderman, Diana Halstead, Olga Hennessey, Steve Hennessey, Jan Kieffer, Pat Krug, Neva Martin, Virginia Martinson, Larry McCammon, Willa Norwood, Darlene Peck, Nancy Rush, Carole Stone, Betty Waller.
Betty led the devotional time with a reading regarding Mother’s Day. A woman was asked her occupation, her reply was a “Mom”. The interviewer indicated that position was not considered an occupation. The woman revised her answer to state that she was a research associate in the field of child care. This answer seemed to satisfy the interviewer. The title of “Mom” does not encompass the many challenges faced and rewards received in her position.
A correction was made to the April minutes in that in was stated that weather stripping was put on windows and actually the stripping was applied to doors. The minutes were accepted as corrected.
