Pat (Finance) told of a need for persons to sell Dillon’s certificates after worship.
Jan Kieffer (Trustees) reported that her committee’s main project at the present time is replacement of the sign in front of the church.
Betty reminded council of the Mission Dinner after worship June 14.
Darlene (Missions) said that $424.00 had been collected to date for Youthville. This project began the Sunday after Easter and ended at Pentecost.
Rita (Education) reminded council of the dates for Vacation Bible School. It will be held Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27, with a program during worship on Sunday, June 28.
Olga shared some of her experiences in attending Annual Conference. She is planning to make a detailed report at a later time. She considered it a great experience.
Neva (Health Ministry) reported that her committee is proposing to offer movie night on the lawn. They will distribute flyers and door hangers in the neighborhood to encourage people in the community to attend. They also discussed a possible need for a parent support group for families with handicapped children. She also shared that her committee is busy as always completing forms.
Neva (CERT) reported in Herb’s absence that preparations are being made for the county-wide emergency exercise to be held at Tecumseh Park on July 24-26. TUMC is a designated Red Cross shelter and a Saturday evening meal will be prepared here. Tecumseh CERT has been given a key to unlock the northwest door of Tecumseh North School in case of a tornado warning for use by anyone in the community needing shelter.
During discussion time Nelta asked for suggestions for Carole for the Ice Cream Social. Carole will contact some musical groups and offer the dates of August 30, September 13 and September 27.
There was discussion about memorial funds. Nelta asked committees to make suggestion of their specific needs.
Pastor Josh said that the Annual Conference he had just attended was a refreshing event. He passed along a “thank you” to TUMC from the conference for paying 100% of our apportionments. He also shared information he had received from Gary Beach regarding a plan to strengthen congregations. Under this plan Pastor Josh will attend monthly meetings and a group of lay members will be asked to work with him.  Ernestine moved to support Pastor Josh in this endeavor, Olga seconded, and council approved.
Pastor Josh closed Administrative Council with prayer.

Respectfully submitted,
Nancy Rush, Recording Secretary
