Diana asked permission to paint and prepare the south room for use with youth Sunday School. She was advised to visit with Trustees.
SHARING AND OPEN DISCUSSION:
Ernestine mentioned in response to questions, that electronics can be recycled at the Supply Depot. They are open every day. She also asked for input regarding the wording in the new sign. It was suggested that she and Josh should make that decision. Ernestine asked about the format of the church newsletter and its printing on green paper. It was suggested that the cover remain on the green paper and to print everything on the inside on white. This practice will result in some savings.
PASTOR’S TIME:
Josh discussed his participation in the Spirit Leadership, Inc. group which encourages congregational growth. It will be an obligation for him for one day each month and then his working with groups here at TUMC. He has been doing some beginning planning on a stewardship program and the end of the year report. There was a short discussion regarding our mission statement. Do we need to look at possible revision? We should think about who is “all” – who do we target.
Pastor Josh closed council meeting with prayer.Respectfully submitted,
Nancy Rush
